OPEN BODY // HUMAN CANVAS is a SITE-SPECIFIC PUBLIC ACTION-ART PRACTICE conceived by Bed Hermin in 2010. At its most simple,  Bed stands in a public area for about one hour, blindfolded and unmoving, dressed in white clothes and provides art materials for anyone to use and interact with the human body. Over the past several years, it has morphed and melded the art into many disciplines including a meditative compassion practice, sociological / anthropological research study, and a gender experiment, just to name a few. This international and Interdisciplinary work is perhaps the most radical offering and expression in the art of Bed Hermin.
